About our races and rides

RACES
Throughout the season, the IGCC holds a variety of races for all ages and levels of riders, including time trials, hill climbs, mass-start races, criteriums, and road races. Starting in 2016, timed races will be biweekly (Thursday evenings), alternating with training rides (Wednesday evenings).

In addition to these biweekly Thursday-evening races, there are three special events:

  • Ashcroft Hell Climb
  • Race to the Sun
  • Legacy Games (new for 2016)

Please check our calendar for dates.

GROUP RIDES
Non-competitive, no-drop group rides are held most Sunday mornings, leaving downtown from Riverside Park or other locations. These social rides provide opportunities to share your cycling experiences with fellow enthusiasts. Information on rides are posted on our calendar.

Easy Riders
A casual, no-drop social ride. Slower pace and shorter distance than the Intermediate Group.  We’ll predetermine routes and distances, and where coffee will be consumed, so that people know what to expect.

Intermediate Group
Routes and distances vary depending on weather and interest (≈ 40-100 km) . No-drop. Departure is from Riverside Park, unless otherwise stated in the calendar.

Special out-of-town group rides

NON-CLUB GROUP RIDES
Spoke Group

Motivo Group
